Skills for Employment in Shepway

You are invited to take part in an online survey seeking employers’ views on how easy or difficult it is to recruit / retain employees locally and whether this is linked to the availability of suitably skilled people in East Kent.

The survey was conceived out of comments made by individual businesses about their skills needs and the degree to which these were being met locally which deserved to be explored further.

The information gained will be used to discuss local training needs with employer groups (such as the Shepway Business Advisory Board) and training organisations (such as East Kent College) to see how employer needs might be better reflected in training provision.

Responses can be made until Monday 17th July, 2017.

The survey is mainly in the form of multiple choices, for your convenience, but also provides opportunities for you to comment if you wish. It is organised in three main sections:

  • Brief business details
  • Your staff recruitment and retention experience
  • The skill needs of your business and training providers.
