East meets West

Saturday December 2nd, 2017
The Quarterhouse, Folkestone  7pm

Christmas can be a time of year where many people can feel lonely and isolated. ARRCC is hoping to combat this by hosting a festive event for the whole community.

By bringing people together ARRCC aims to break down barriers, promote Folkestone as a progressive, inclusive and vibrant place to live and celebrate diversity in the town.

East meets West takes place at The Quarterhouse with Indian and Nepalese street food, a local sitar musician, bhangra drumming and Bollywood dance act Eternal Taal.

Specialising in female Bhangra entertainment, Eternal Taal’s aim is to promote and perform Bhangra music to wider audiences. They have performed on some of the world’s largest stages including Glastonbury Festival and were recognised by the House of Commons for their ‘Contribution to Bhangra Music in the UK.’

Tickets, priced £20, are on a first come first served basis.

To book contact Sandra Janman on 01303 211248 or email sandrajanman@arrcc.org

ARRCC provides a range of support, advice and training opportunities for physically and sensory impaired adults. ARRCC tries to give disabled adults the confidence to make the most of their lives and give them access to all the opportunities available to the wider community.

ARRCC offers a packed timetable of activities and courses throughout the week such as art classes, film and animation, pottery, dressmaking, music and drama. This creates a positive and interactive platform where members are able to develop tools for self expression and build and access a social network.

ARRCC Folkestone really appreciates support from members of the community in terms of donations and volunteering. If you feel you can for support, please contact 01303 211248.
