Jenner to begin construction on Military Road development

Jenner Contractors Ltd has received a seven-figure funding deal from Royal Bank of Scotland to begin construction on a new housing development on the old Shepway Resource Centre on Military Road in Folkestone.

The Folkestone-based company hopes to complete work on 41 homes by the summer of 2018.

35 of the flats and houses will then be sold to Folkestone and Hythe District Council, which will place them on the housing list for local people. the remaining six properties will be marketed to potential buyers.

Jenner is a privately owned regional chartered building company that undertakes construction projects throughout Kent and East Sussex. The company has delivered over 60 projects in the Shepway district in recent years, from large scale housing projects and educational buildings to private single housing properties and historic works. Examples include the new Maths Building at Harvey Grammar School in Folkestone, Siskin Close in Hawkinge and several projects in the Old High Street, Folkestone.
