London Ashford Airport

London Ashford Airport

London Ashford Airport is an airport servicing general aviation and corporate jets. Established in 1955, based on Romney Marsh.

Our Business

London Ashford Airport is going through an expansion that will deliver an increased runway and a new terminal building. The new airport will be able to cater for aircraft such as the Boeing 737 and Airbus 320 that can reach most of Europe and North Africa. Plans are still going ahead with expected completion in 2018.

The Holding Company that owns the airport bought shares in the airport in 2001 on the basis of the strong potential for increased aviation demand coupled with the airport’s location which is considered to be the first and closest link between Europe, the Middle East and the UK.

Location – Romney Marsh

Romney Marsh offers the airport good advantages with its transport links to London and easy access to Europe.

Funding

We had funding from SEEDA in 2004 which was based on increasing employment and capital expenditures.

Support/Network Groups

We attend all networking events offered in Shepway or by Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce and other local networking communities.

Start-Up Advice

My personal advice to any business interested in starting up on the Romney Marsh is to make sure that your business can be a good benefit to the Marsh, so that it will be of benefit to you .
