We are PROGRESS, a creative agency based in the heart of Folkestone’s Creative Quarter. You’ll find us in the Old Post Office, a big green building with a unique Nathan Coley artwork adorning our roof.
Our creative remit is broad – we create and build brands, working closely with businesses to define who they are, what they look like and how they present themselves. This is cross-media, from design and identity, photography and filming, print and production to promotion on and offline.
We work with businesses large and small – from local independents to the international Blue Chip corporates. Our clients span a number of sectors, including charity, travel, construction, finance, hospitality and retail and are located as far afield as Arizona and Abu Dhabi.
We have developed a solid reputation for innovative, but practical creativity, balanced with dedicated and consistent customer service delivery; in short we treat every job with the same care and attention as if it was our own. And it’s an approach that has paid dividends – our business has been built and continues to grow on this attitude and most of our clients come to us through recommendations and referrals.
In seven short years from a standing start of one person, a laptop and a phone, we have built a strong team with a good balance of both youth and experience. Currently there are eight people employed at PROGRESS and we intend to recruit additional staff members as the business expands.
We’re also passionate believers in initiatives such as the National Apprentice Scheme from which we’ve already recruited one full time staff member and currently have another person going through the process.
Location – Folkestone
Where we’re located – The Creative Quarter – is a fantastic location. The regeneration of the area is really reaping dividends and it’s fast becoming a thriving and energetic community. It’s a stone’s throw to the harbour, the rents are very economical, the quality of life is great and the recent and planned developments mean that the town is firmly being put on the map. For business there’s some diverse properties and varied creative environments – why would you want to be anywhere else? We’ve access to a great workforce and furthermore the connections are second to none – we’re in London in under an hour.
As well as our international work, we are equally as proud to have created the branding for a number of local success stories such as Rocksalt, the Folkestone Harbour Arm and Three Hills sports facility to name a few. We love being part of the local creative community and seeing the process of regeneration taking place in the town.
