Skills Funding Opportunities

Funding is available for employers and individuals for training in retrofit, green & construction skills

Central Government has made funding available for those who wish to train in the Retrofit, Green and Construction skills sectors. Folkestone & Hythe District Council is administering the initiative for our district, in conjunction with our chosen partner East Kent College, who will provide specialised courses covering these sectors on our behalf.

There are 2 routes to securing funding & training:

East Kent College are delivering specialised courses. Individuals, Sole Traders or employers wishing to send staff on training that falls within these areas should first check whether the training you require is covered within the courses being offered. Click here for further details which includes the list of courses being offered by EKC. These courses should be applied for directly via East Kent College.

Employers that have bespoke training requirements that fall within the retrofit, green and construction skills sectors that are not covered with the East Kent College course offering should apply directly to Folkestone & Hythe District Council. Click here for further details.
