Otterpool Park public engagements

We are sorry to report that the Otterpool Park public engagement events scheduled for 18-20 May have had to be postponed as Folkestone and Hythe District Council will be in a period of restricted publicity in advance of the General Election to be held on 8 June. The Council is subject to pre-election restrictions set out in Section 2 of the Local Government Act 1986, as amended in 1988.

This is the same reason why Folkestone and Hythe District Council was unable to hold events in the run-up to the May 4 County Council elections – the council was obviously unaware that a general election would be called when it announced the new dates.

The events will be rescheduled to happen as soon as possible after the election is held but that will be subject to venue availability. Further details of the schedule of events will be announced once these have been finalised.
