 Skills for Volunteers –

Tuesday 6th March, 2018

Tuesday 13th March, 2018

Volunteering is an excellent way of developing new skills and utilizing existing ones, as well as a fun way of meeting new people. It can also be a stepping-stone back into employment.

Shepway Volunteer Centre believes that volunteering should be open to all, but recognizes that some people may need a little extra help to get started.

This course is designed to provide an introduction to the world of volunteering, including all the benefits of voluntary work, overcoming personal barriers, rights and responsibilities, what is available locally and anything else you need to know to ensure you have a successful volunteering experience.

The courses run from 9.30am-3.30pm. Lunch and refreshments are included.

Shepway Volunteer Centre is based at South Kent Community Church (formerly URC), Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, Kent CT20 2QL.

Places are limited so early application is recommended.

No formal qualifications are required.

To book your place, please telephone Mark Connorton or Liz Cole 01303 259007 or email markconnorton@volunteershepway.co.uk
