New Development approved for the Silver Spring site

Three new businesses have been given the go-ahead to open in a new development on the Silver Spring site on Park Farm Road, Folkestone.

The previously derelict site will be redeveloped under the name Folkestone Gateway and will incorporate a 131 room hotel with two restaurants and a gym, and two drive-thru units, one of which has been confirmed to be a KFC.

The new development promises to bring up to 200 new jobs to the area and up to £10million of investment, with hopes that it will bring further investment to the area and encourage visitors to further explore Folkestone and the surrounding area of natural beauty.
