Lower Thames Crossing and the Supply Chain School

As part of the Lower Thames Crossing project, we are excited to introduce the Supply Chain School to support local businesses to grow and realise the opportunity of working on a major piece of transport infrastructure.

The Supply Chain School will help upskill businesses, putting them in the best possible position to tender for work on the project. In doing this, the organisers aim to leave a legacy of a more capable, dynamic and sustainable supply chain, as well as keeping investment from the project in the local economy.

Businesses will be able to register for the school and take learning modules on topics that will provide a firm basis for working on infrastructure projects. They will also offer workshops, run periodically with a focus on supply chain gaps and areas that may require particular attention, such as tendering and gaining certification to qualify for working on projects.

An event is planned to introduce businesses to the school and identify where they may most need support. This will then help to shape the focus of future workshops.

The Kent event will be:
Friday 25 October 2019, 8:30am-12:30pm
