Kent Perspective on Global Climate Change
30th March 2021 10:30am

With the UK due to host the high level COP26 international summit in Glasgow later this year, Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce (KICC) will be hosting a round table discussion event on 30th March.

In partnership with Wilton Park KICC will aim to gather perspectives on climate change and sustainable development across our cities, regions and devolved nations.

The focus of this event will be to solicit perspectives on the these issues:

  • What are the ways in which the threat by climate change is factored into local business, government and voluntary activity, and planning?
  • What are the local organisations most actively involved in promoting discussions around climate change and sustainable development at both a local, national and international level?
  • How could local perspectives on climate change and sustainable development be more effectively integrated within wider national policy – both national and international?

The aim of this event is to provide a neutral environment where views can be expressed and debated openly, encouraging innovative thinking by provoking lively debate.
