Kent Residents Survey: Measuring Tourism Impact

The Resident Tourism Impact Survey aims to better understand resident perceptions of the social, economic, and wellbeing impacts of seasonal tourism and the COVID-19 pandemic on resident communities in Kent.

This research is conducted for Visit Kent and the Kent Downs AONB by the University of Surrey and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The survey will be conducted every 6 months covering the summer and winter periods and this is the second survey. Results of the first survey can be seen here.

This survey is part of the INTERREG EXPERIENCE project which seeks to ensure the sustainable growth of seasonal tourism across different destinations in England and France, without jeopardising the eco-systems and quality of life of resident communities.

To clarify, winter tourism is about people on day trips, people coming from further away for a few days or more as well as those visiting their local area during the winter season between October and March.

Your participation in this survey is voluntary, and you may discontinue at any time. Any data collected will be kept strictly anonymous and confidential.

You must be 18 years or older to complete this survey.
