Overview
Over the past 40 years we have seen some turbulent times – The Thatcher recession of the early ‘80’s, when inflation was running at 18% and unemployment eventually reaching 12%. Then the ‘90’s and Black Wednesday as the pound crashed out of ERM, unemployment was almost 11%, interest rates nearly 15% , followed by the Financial Crisis of 2008 and the Credit Crunch, then in more recent times Brexit and the Covid pandemic.
And what has it taught us about business in tough times? – a volatile market creates opportunity, and we believe often MORE opportunity than in calmer times. To succeed, it is also a question of MINDSET, PLANNING, ACTION and MEASURE/ADJUST or, to make it simpler ‘SPAM’: See – Plan – Action – Measure.
