Empowering you to thrive in work whatever your starting point
Connect to Work is a voluntary employment support programme launched by the UK Government as part of the Get Britain Working Strategy. It’s designed to help people who face barriers to employment – such as health conditions, disabilities, or long-term unemployment – find and stay in meaningful work.
Whether someone is unemployed or at risk of leaving their job, the programme offers up to 12 months of personalised, one-to-one support.
Connect to Work helps people succeed, on their terms. From vocational profiling and job matching to in-work support and career development, Connect to Work focuses on what matters to each individual, and works closely with employers to create inclusive opportunities. Connect to Work is…..
•Is a voluntary programme supporting people into work and helping them stay in work
•Is for individuals with long-term health conditions, disabilities, and other barriers
•Provides up to 12 months of personalised, one-to-one support
•Offers support for both job seekers and those at risk of leaving work
•Incorporates two nationally recognised models: IPS and SEQF
•Integrates with health, care, and community services
•Is free for participants, employers, or referrers
•Helps people build confidence, skills, and independence
•Creates inclusive workplaces and stronger communities
•Works in partnership with local organisations to reach people who need help the most
Who is Eligible:
People with disabilities or long-term health conditions
•Offenders/ex-offenders
•Carers/ex-carers
•Homeless people
•Armed Forces veterans/current AF personnel
•People with drug or alcohol dependencies/history of dependency presenting a barrier to employment
•Care experienced young people/care leavers
•Refugees (resettled Afghans/people on the Ukrainian scheme)
•Victims/survivors of domestic abuse
•Young people involved in or at risk of serious violence
•Victims of modern slavery
