Folkestone Community Works programme is investing EU funding with match funding into Folkestone, enhancing the local economy and helping residents on their journey into work.

We are looking for innovative projects that will strengthen opportunities for people and enable business to grow. Folkestone Community Works aims to fund projects that will help local people and businesses make the most of existing and new opportunities.

The programme management team is available to assist applicants throughout the whole process. Successful projects must be completed by 31 March 2023. To discuss your project, please email folkestonecommunityworks@folkestone-hythe.gov.uk

What is Folkestone Community Works delivery?

Folkestone Community Works aims to improve social and economic community cohesion in the wards of East Folkestone, Central Folkestone, Folkestone Harbour and part of Broadmead.

The programme wants to encourage businesses, organisations, charities and voluntary groups, to put forward and deliver projects that boost employment, help local businesses grow and improve opportunities for local residents.

Understanding the Grant Funding

Folkestone & Hythe District Council has secured funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), 1.5 million and European Social Fund (ESF) £975,000.

Folkestone Community Works is structured around three objectives and eight actions. Projects put forward for funding must meet these objectives.

Who can apply for funding?

Organisations, charities, and businesses can apply for funding to deliver services to residents and businesses within the catchment area.

Folkestone & Hythe District Council is the accountable body and will administer the application process and delivery of the Folkestone Community Works programme.

Open Calls and Application Forms

Although this scheme is now generally closed, if your business is eligible and could spend any grant allocated by 31st March 2023 please email folkestonecommunityworks@folkestone-hythe.gov.uk asap. A call is an open invitation for organisations, businesses, applicants to submit an application against a published specification.

The programme management team is available to assist applicants throughout the whole process. Successful projects have to be completed by 31 March 2023.
