Kent Choices Careers – connecting & inspiring school leavers
On 7th February, school leavers are attending a Kent Choices Careers Event at The Grand Hotel. The day provides Yr11 students who are considering alternative options to college the chance to:
- Meet with training providers
- Connect with employers
- Think realistically about the world of work
- Better understand what employers are looking for when recruiting
- Find support and inspiration about their next step.
The event is organised by The Education People and is targeted at a small group of students who are currently in Yr11 (age 15/16). At each of the events, students will meet with training providers and Folkestone College who could offer them an alternative option to college. We want the students to have additional support through encounters from employers.
Would you and your colleagues (apprentices included) consider attending to ‘inspire’ and prepare these young people with their transition after GCSEs? You can attend all-day or part of the day.
