Conference Invite – Folkestone College Entrepreneurship Conference

Exciting opportunity for businesses to have a stall at the College Entrepreneurship Conference

As part of the BTEC Level 3 Enterprise & Entrepreneurship qualification, you’re invited to a business event at Folkestone College. The conference is open to: local employers, businesses and council representatives. Please come along, listen to the speakers and have a small table or stand advertising your organisation and any careers or opportunities you may have for students afterwards.

Tuesday 10th of March, 10:30 am – 12:15 pm, with a careers fair straight afterwards until 1:45 pm.
(If you would like a small table stall to promote your business at the networking event you will need to arrive on site at around 10:00 am to set up your stall before the conference begins at 10:30 am.)

If you’re interested in attending or to promote your business on a stall, please contact Isaac Fagg: 30026984@student.eastkent.ac.uk  or Katie Marsh: 131996@student.eastkent.ac.uk for details and registration.
You can also register your interest online.
Please include details about: who will attend, whether you will require parking and what you might promote on your table stand.

Inspiring local students…

The conference and careers fair is being organised by second and final year Level 3 students at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy at Folkestone College. The conference is part of a module entitled ‘Managing a Business Event’ and will support students in completing assessment elements of their study.

This event is designed to inspire the students attending and raise their aspirations – some of them haven’t considered going to university or don’t have the confidence to believe that they can go into any sort of career at this point, so it is always good to hear from people who were once in their shoes and hear about their career journeys. Hence the importance of local business community involvement, show casing career potential in the local area. We believe this will be an extremely beneficial event as it is student organised and covers a lot of their course criteria.
