HYTHE, WHAT TO SEE AND DO
Hythe’s historic high street offers an eclectic mix of specialist shops including antique and vintage traders, cafés, pubs and restaurants. Whether you prefer the Napoleonic Royal Military Canal, which is perfect for walking or cycling alongside or the nearby beach where you can sail, kite-surf, fish or swim, Hythe offers a great quality of life.
Hythe is seeing significant investment in its hotels. The historic 19th Century four-star Hythe Imperial Hotel & Spa on the seafront at Princes Parade has recently had a facelift, with a £1 million investment that has created superb business function rooms, luxury suites and a new champagne bar.
The Grade 2* listed Port Lympne Mansion Hotel now offers six en-suite boutique bedrooms/suites in period style following a £2 million investment by the Aspinall Foundation. In the nearby Port Lympne Wildlife Park and Nature Reserve, there are now treehouses and camping for school children.
